This project consists of an addition and remodel to the existing Rugby Junior and Senior High School building. The project provided needed renovation to the majority of the existing 84,089 SF building to upgrade windows, doors, finishes, mechanical, and electrical systems. The project also added 10,324 SF of new space which includes a new commercial kitchen, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, student commons, greenhouse, offices, and storage spaces.

This project included updating all HVAC systems including an integration of a geo-thermal heat-pump HVAC system in both the new, and a majority of the existing school environment. This represented one of the many challenges in executing the overall plan of the Rugby School District and rewards the District with an energy efficient facility. Other improvements include installing high efficiency lighting and making improvements to the sound and lighting system in the auditorium. Construction spanned one and a half years, continuing while school was in session.
